Description of the job

A vacancy for a Technical Data Maintenance Engineer (AMM/CMM) has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Customer Services, to join the Operational Unit "Technical Data", which is in charge of developing and delivering aircraft maintenance documentation, to enable the safe and efficient accomplishment of maintenance operations by the customers (airlines, MRO, lessors).

Technical Data is organized in 3 authoring transnational Domains, and the position is opened in the Airframe Domain, within Technical Data Airframe department in France.

This position offers a wide view on Aircraft: In direct relation with the Design Office who is at the origin of the design and evolution of aircraft systems, we are in charge of documenting their impact in Technical Data products (manuals), and we support our customers who are operating and maintaining aircraft.

Within organizational unit in charge of Technical Data for Overall Aircraft Maintenance & Ground Operations, you will be responsible of a portfolio for the Aircraft & Component maintenance.

The workpackage portfolio are:

# AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual):

·  Aircraft inspections after unscheduled events, stability, pressurization, tests, … (AMM ATA 05-5x),
·  Aircraft ground handling for maintenance and operations - jacking, leveling & weighing, towing & taxiing (AMM ATA 07, 08, 09),
·  Aircraft preservation or protection - parking, storage, cold weather maintenance (AMM ATA 10, 12),
·  Placards & & markings (ATA 11),
·  Standard practices - Standard torque, Electrical bonding (airframe) (AMM ATA 20),

# CMMm (Component Maintenance Manual manufacturer)

Tasks & accountabilities

Your core activity is to:

·  Provide continuous and efficient support to customers and all users,
·  Ensure integration and management of all design criteria,
·  Secure the preparation of text and illustration on how to use and maintain an aircraft for all civil Aircraft programmes.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Ensuring answers to the Airlines queries (Tech Request Message = TRM),
·  Analysing Aircraft change criteria (MPM, Service Bulletin, Customer Originate Change...) for Technical Data (TD) impact and update the TD databases as appropriate,
·  Using in services experiences & issues (e.g. TRM & TFU…) from one program to improve other programs and ensure right level of consistency between programs,
·  Coordinating the technical subjects with the engineering department,
·  Launching and managing the subcontracting activities (plan the procedures revision priority in regards to the subject criticality & workload) in line with the make-or-buy policy,
·  Managing the daily business with the subcontractor (support, follow-up, etc.),
·  Validating and releasing data for customers (Incoming Inspection & proof reading),
·  Following the production of Technical Data products for civil aircraft programs to enable the accomplishment of safe and efficient aircraft maintenance,
·  Contributing to the monthly Review Meetings on technical level with the subcontractor (Give subcontractor feedback on performance for the quarterly meeting to the team Technical Coordinator),
·  Participating to the projects impacting his technical perimeter.

Your key outputs are:

·  Control & monitor the subcontracting activity (daily support; monthly review reports),
·  Secure the integration of engineering inputs,
·  Secure that the Customer queries are answered in terms of quality, cost and lead-time,
·  Follow the technical harmonization between the Airbus programs,
·  Technical data KPI assessment and associated corrective actions.

This role will involve travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Aircraft maintenance knowledge,
·  Technical drawings reading and understanding,
·  Knowledge of GILDA, PASS-SSI would be a plus,
·  Proactive, good team player and good organizational skills,
·  Communication skills and assertiveness,
·  Priorization and flexibility,
·  Intermediate level of English.
