Description of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Airbus Customer Services in Toulouse, ideal for someone who wants to develop core aircraft maintenance skills and willing to work in a dynamic environment with customer focus.

Airbus Customer Services, SED - Technical Data - is in charge of delivering the maintenance manuals to the customer which is a critical component of the aircraft (A/C) delivery. This is why we are so Customer-minded.

Our Operational Unit develops, delivers and supports aircraft maintenance documentation directly used by the customers (airlines, MRO Maintenance Repair Operations, lessors).
It will enable the safe and efficient accomplishment of maintenance operations all along its life cycle, in accordance with airworthiness requirements and regulations.

To achieve this we are continuously interfacing - both externally and internally - with our suppliers. This interaction starts at the beginning of A/C development and continue along the A/C evolution. Our main objective is to aim for documentation completeness at the A/C delivery for that a transversal project is ongoing.

SED is organized in 3 authoring Domains of which the system domain (SEDY) is one. SEDY is a large transnational organization having "authoring teams" in charge of all A/C Systems.
SEDY2 is the French System department, offering a wide view on Aircraft Systems:
¤ We are interfacing directly with the Design Office that manages the systems design and evolution,
¤ We are in charge of documenting their impact in the manuals and
¤ We support our customers who are operating and maintaining aircraft Systems.

The opened position is within SEDY24 which has an expertise on Energy and Environment systems.
SEDY24 main challenge is to ensure that the maintenance manuals reflects the design changes and to understand the immediate impact of these changes on customers operations, with the objective to provide customized documentation in accordance with aircraft configuration.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your mission will be to undertake this challenge in order to fully answer customer's maintenance needs.
For this mission, you won't be alone; there will be a team with you providing support & expertise.
You will join the IPC (Illustrated Part catalogue) team where you will be given training by the tutors that will be assigned to support you.

After which, you will be responsible for a portfolio of ATA chapters (24/91/33) for several programs (SA, LR, A380, A350) for IPC in the first place and will be in charge of the following activities:

·  Analysis of Design Office Data (drawings & design modifications..) to define the impact on Illustrated Parts Catalogue Data delivered to the airlines (Service Bulletin, Modification Proposal, Concession, Customer Originate Change, ...),
·  Assessing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report issued by Business Operations and Programs department and launch associated correctives actions.
·  Monitoring and steering of subcontracted activities,
·  Organizing and chairing of regular review meetings with local subcontractors, managing workload and priorities,
·  The delivery of documentation content (creation and updates) in accordance with specifications, contractual commitments, approved schedules, quality standards and within budget objectives,
·  Securing fulfilment of Safety rules, Quality process and Technical Data guidelines.
·  Ensuring Customer efficient support by answering customer queries relative to your field of activities and implementation of documentation changes if necessary.

You will act as technical data focal point for other domains (design office & customer services & subcontracting companies & suppliers) and referent for systems Illustrated Part Catalogue.

For this mission, you will have the opportunity to create an efficient link with Engineering and Suppliers and to work in close cooperation with numerous other interfaces: customer services departments, design offices, airlines, subcontractors…

We also count on you to play a key role for SEDY2 in terms of continuous improvements for Technical Data processes & tools and for transnational standardization of ways of working. You will, among other things, be involved in improvements based on lean methods (PPS, ...).

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Proven experience in Illustrated Part Catalogue (IPC) authoring and verification,
·  Ability to train people on Illustrated Part Catalogue,
·  Knowledge of Illustrated Part Catalogue authoring tools & processes,
·  Knowledge of aircraft Systems and Aeronautics,
·  Aircraft maintenance,
·  Dynamic, Proactive and Positive mind set,
·  Risk and opportunity management skills,
·  Ability to follow-up activities,
·  Good team player and good organizational skills,
·  Communication skills and assertiveness,
·  Curious and open-minded for changes and continuous improvement
·  English advance level (Bulat score >= 60 - B2 level).

And the following skills are a "plus":

·  Knowledge of aircraft drawings,
·  Aircraft configuration Management,
·  Project Management.
