Description of the job

Airbus DS supplies a significant number of equipment or sub-systems from the United States. Our strategy is to secure these procurements by developing a good relationship with our suppliers and being close to them to understand their situation, assess the risks with efficiency and identify any issue as early as possible.

The main objectives you will be assigned are the following:

·  Managing contract execution, being in charge of Supplier delivery performance (On Time, On Quality, On Cost)
·  Performing an effective control of supplier activities, securing a close understanding of supplier overall situation and scope
·  Coordinating the interfaces of all the stakeholders involved in the supplier operations management and securing coordination with the corresponding Multi-Functional Team (MFT) based in Toulouse (France)
·  Managing the risks associated to the supplier and/or the equipment and manage the anomaly solving when necessary

You will be based in the US West Coast.
Some travels to France or UK will be necessary (3 to 5 times per year).
Because of confidentiality and US export regulation laws, US citizen is required

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Acting as focal point towards the supplier for operational activities
·  Maintaining a close communication and coordination with all internal stakeholders based in France or UK (satellite project team, technical authorities, supply chain etc …)
·  Active Monitoring & Control of Suppliers
·  Managing Supplier operational performance and driving necessary collaboration as far as necessary
·  Day to day monitoring of the supplier interface from kick off to delivery of the equipment/subsystem. You will lead the progress meetings, the gate reviews (KO, EQSR, PDR, CDR, TRR, TRB/DRB), the changes, deviations and wavers processes, non-conformities, etc …
·  Acting as main interface for assessing and reporting the supplier risks, proposing mitigation actions, implementing improvement plans with the relevant stakeholders and following-up these plans in order to secure delivery of the products and services in conformity with contract
·  Ensuring compliance with Export regulations for all deliverables from Suppliers

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Engineer degree (or equivalent)
·  At least 5 years' experience in Space or Satellites industry (Engineering, production), ideally on the follow up of equipment
·  Experience in project management, supplier management or supplier development, contract management is also appreciated
·  Knowledge of composite structure, antennas, radiofrequency, avionics and/or electronics would be a plus
·  Excellent relationship and negotiations skills
·  Team spirit
·  English: negotiation level
·  French: would be a plus plus
