Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (f/m) to lead the development and maintenance of our Maritime Surveillance software solution and associated projects.
This position is located in Bezons, Paris area.

You will joint the Software Management department in which your main task will be to develop and maintain software components for the STYRIS® product according to the R&D roadmap.
You will be also in charge of :

·  specific software to meet specific customer requests.
·  correcting and maintaining new important software features on product and projects, based on product specification and requirements.

STYRIS® is an AIRBUS product line for collection, processing, consolidation, enrichment, distribution and display of data deriving from a wide range of maritime sensors such as radars, automatic identification system, radio direction finder, cameras, weather stations and sonars. STYRIS® is based on a modular system architecture allowing a user-friendly integration, and ergonomic HMI to enable operators to monitor and interact with critical maritime situations, and provide the means to quickly communicate to all relevant authorities.
Airbus Defence and Space is providing for more than 20 years integrated maritime safety and security solutions to Port authorities, Coast Guards, Navies and also commercial administration all around the world. Over 250 Systems are in service in over 50 countries; 20 are currently under development. 85% of our business is international.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

You will mainly be responsible for the dedicated Software Development as follows :

·  Technical lead for the software product design and implementation: new software specification and design, development, testing (unit and functional) and delivery (release note and packaging) to meet customer and R&D needs;
·  Responsible for planning and delivering the engineering commitment OTOCOQ for software Delivery;
·  Provide remote support to system integration and maintenance teams;
·  Fix non-conformity raised by project, product integration and validation teams;
·  Contribute actively to STYRIS® product roadmap definition in close relationship with product management team.

Required skills

Education:

·  Master or diploma in computer science or a comparable field of study.

On the job experience:

·  3+ years of successful experience as Software Engineer.
·  Experience in working with virtualized environments
·  Good team working experience.

Key Competencies :

·  Successful experience in software development JAVA SE (6, 7 and 8), a good knowledge in C/C++ is a appreciated.
·  Strong experience in software factory tools such Eclipse, SVN, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQ, JIRA, …
·  Knowledge in Maritime business and sensors such as Surveillance Radars, VHF, RDF, AIS.
·  JAVA SWING and JAVA FX for HMI development.
·  Linux/Windows infrastructure architecture and virtualization / administration is appreciated.
·  Familiar with software architecture and design (UML, Enterprise Architect, …)
·  Awareness of Systems and distributed Command & Control.
·  Fluent in French and upper-intermediate (B2) in English (oral & writing)
·  Organized and autonomous.
·  Capability to learn fast.
·  Team player and cooperative.
·  Rigorous, loyal and curious.
