Description of the job
Airbus offers a 6-month internship starting at the beginning of February 2017 (subject to some flexibility). This internship will take place within the Production Upgrade Services group, which is responsible for delivering modification solutions for in-service aircraft to airlines. The objective of this internship is to follow the continuous improvement of Deliverables in the context of a recently reorganised division, with transnational teams based in Toulouse, Hamburg and Mobile (USA). In this context, this role will involve business trips to Germany.
The intern will work cross-functionally on several product lines and will have a view of the extended enterprise. She/he will support the service Continuous Improvement in order to improve the Quality of deliverables, and therefore to better meet the customer's needs in the context of the market share increase.

Tasks & accountabilities
During the internship, your activities will cover the following features:
Continuous improvement:
· Catch and analyse Non Quality of intermediate and final deliverables of projects in production
Capitalisation of feedbacks and implementation of relevant indicators to support decision-making and launching action plans (Pareto for instance)
· Search for root causes, in the processes, possible skill deviations, environment, technical data communication, project management, etc …. Using analysis tools (Ishikawa for instance)
· Risk analysis, LEAN method, process analysis (Value Stream Mapping, etc...)
· Setting up action plans and follow-up
· Development of a means (IT tool, associated governance) for Non Quality processing follow-up, offering an overall view of the service, as well as a view per product line
· Propose an overall experience feedback on the Non Quality processing in the service, and suggest medium and long-term improvement measures
Required skills
· You are in the 2nd year of a Master's programme or in the last year of a general engineering school.
· Knowledge in Lean.
· You are proficient in the technical basics which allows you to easily understand the development activities of technical solutions.
· You enjoy working within a team and have very good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Fluent in French
· Fluent in English, German would be a plus.
