Description of the job

The Product Development Analyst role can be based in Newcastle OR Guildford OR Leicester.

This role will suit people from Technical backgrounds such as :

·  IT, Computer Science, Medical, Automotive, GIS, Space, Oil & Gas, Rail, Energy Suppliers, Mining and similar industries.

As a Product Development Analysis, you will be working with a Leicester based team that are responsible for the processing and analysis of remotely sensed imagery for the processing, analysis of remotely sensed data, value added product development and the delivery of these products, through digital services. The clients you will be in contact with are from a wide-ranging selection of industries including oil, gas, mining, rail, infrastructure, highways and power suppliers.

Airbus Defence & Space Intelligence is a leading provider of optical and radar satellite imagery, geographic information products, software and services delivering geographic information solutions into both private and public sector organisations worldwide. We offer a comprehensive product and services portfolio covering the entire geographic information services value chain – data acquisition and processing, imagery analysis and interpretation, hosting and delivery of large datasets, as well as offering GIS development and consultancy.

The successful candidate will be subject to security clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.

Tasks & accountabilities

As a Product Development Analyst, your main duties will be:

·  Driving road maps for digital services – including product requirements, product costs, potential development opportunities, product development plan and revenue forecasts
·  Working under the head of department, developing future products and delivery for Infrastructure and Energy Products
·  Defining the user requirements including the ‘Voice of the Customer', and sustaining a good knowledge & understanding of the markets in which the products serve.
·  Reviewing the internal review of the whole Product Life Cycle for the Products
·  Developing business cases (new) and business case reviews (existing) for the product

Required skills

To be successful for this Product Development Analyst role, you need to have the following skills / experience:

·  Willingness to travel – monthly travel to France. Weekly travel to Leicester if you're not based in the Leicester office
·  Ability to work on wide range of business issues and projects simultaneously.
·  Experience of Product analysis, development and marketing
·  Ability to develop a compelling business proposition and communicate this orally and in written form.
·  Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external partners
