Description of the job

A vacancy for a Product Assurance Manager for Electronic products has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Paris, Elancourt (78). The successful applicant will join the "Avionics Power Conv. Quality ELC" department.

In the framework of electronic product development, you will be responsible for:

·  Ensuring the quality function of different electronic processes (design, integration, tests, etc.).
·  Guaranteeing that customer needs are met,
·  Defining and applying the quality plan,
·  Ensuring the quality of development processes,
·  Helping the core team which you are part of to succeed,

This position will require security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
1. Product Quality Assurance:

·  Ensuring the quality interface with the customer,
·  Conducting reviews/milestones (internal or contractual),
·  Leading and supporting the justification files with relevant arguments (anomaly processing, etc.),
·  Ensuring the consistency between customer requirements and Astrium quality know-how (standard quality plan),
·  Establishing and conducting the quality plan implementation,
·  Defining the quality requirements applicable to subcontractors and leading the necessary actions,
·  Taking part in the definition and implementation of the project development plan,
·  Leading the actions of risk mitigation. Being the owner of equipment risk metrics,
·  Co-ordinating quality actions and managing the quality budget,
·  Attesting product conformity with its specification. To do this, you will be supported by quality staff to guarantee the correct processing of product non-conformances.

2. Processes Quality Assurance:

·  Supporting the department concerned in its quality needs (rules, norms, methods, animator, etc.),
·  Ensuring the quality of the concerned department, being vigilant about the compliance with rules and methods by persons, detecting and resolving any dysfunctions, and developing quality awareness,
·  Supporting the other Product Quality Engineers when their product activities are ongoing in the department concerned.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Engineering degree (or equivalent),
·  Initial experience in a similar position,
·  Experience in quality assurance as well as in project management of electronic product development would be appreciated,
·  Communication skills,
·  Team player,
·  Analytical skills,
·  Rigorous approach,
·  Ability to think ahead and anticipate,
·  Negotiation level of French
·  Advanced level of English.
