Description of the job

A vacancy for a Leader in Engineering Methods and Tools - PLM has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse (Site St-Martin). You will join the Competence Centre Methods and Tools department.

Within the Airbus sales division, the Methods and Tools Competence Centre for Structure and System Installation is a transnational department responsible for process methods and design and calculation tools for all air conditioning programs.

We work within the framework of agile methods (SAFE@), that is autonomous multifunctional teams applying agile principles. Design and IT department mixing teams.

We are looking for Methods & Tools leaders to participate in transformation projects and digitization initiatives around product lifecycle management, from architecture, detailed design to manufacturing and customer services, enabling a breakthrough in our design process to achieve a faster aircraft development cycle.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main accountabilities will include:

·  Be a change ambassador
·  Develop new way of working and methods in line with the expected transformation
·  Act as the focal point representing the complete community of end users
·  Act as Product Owner for tools developments or enhancements (main role in Agile Scrum approach), integrated into a multi-disciplinary team working in Plateau Mode
·  Act as technical specialist of Process and Method: support on demand operational user and Information Management Tool Owner

Main Tasks will be:

·  Define User Stories/ Features
·  Prioritize User Stories Backlog in line with Development team capacities and strategic themes
·  Test and Accept solutions
·  Perform awareness and explain changes
·  Participate to regular M&T meeting or workshops
·  Participate to the definition to M&T vision

This role will involve some travel for business (1 to 2 times a month) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 5 years degree level, Engineer training and/or specific training in PLM (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
·  You have skills in PLM solutions
·  You have knowledge in: Methods and tools on system installation design, structure and integration.
·  You have a good level in CAD software, especially CATIA V6.
·  You have a good level in PLM tools such as VPM and/or Windchill
·  Good communication skills, ability to convince and federate
·  You have good interpersonal skills and have to work in a transnational context
·  Negotiation level in English. Intermediate French level
