Description of the job

A vacancy for a Maintenance Operations Test Leader (m/f) has arisen within Airbus, in the Maintenance/IMA/Flight Operations Group on the Maintenance topic (Systems & Operations).

The position is based in Toulouse, and you will be joining a very dynamic and autonomous team, in a transnational environment.

Maturity is a key issue for Airbus today and is paramount to increase our brand image with regards to customers; it is therefore important to perform operational tests around eOperation domain to identify operational issues as early as possible, acting as the first customer.

The scope is around:

·  Maintenance Systems for Single Aisle (SA) / Long Range (LR) programs
·  Maintenance Operations and Maintainability on ATA45/46 for all programs

You will operationally report to the SA/LR Maintenance and FOMAX Work Package Leaders, and functionally to the head of the EVYYM group.

You will be in interface with numerous stakeholders, including Hamburg (Germany) and Toulouse (France) Design offices, and Customer Services teams.

Tasks & accountabilities

In the frame of Single Aisle/Long Range and Multi Programs developments, you will have the following missions and responsibilities:

·  Maintenance Systems testing (SA/LR CEO/Beluga XL)
·  Prepare Lab and Flight Tests campaigns for Maintenance systems in coordination with the Design Office , the subcontractors and other relevant stakeholders
·  Ensure coordination with the subcontractors and follow Test campaigns
·  Provide Tests progress, Follow Technical Events, provide Lab and Flight Tests Results to the Design Office
·  Perform regular supplier monitoring in order to ensure the supplier V&V activities are consistent with the testing strategy
·  Maintenance Operations testing (all programs)
·  Manage Maintainability test campaigns for ATA45/46
·  Manage Maintenance operation tests campaign (all programs)
·  Airlines Maintenance Operations (A350)
·  Support Airline like test campaigns (2 campaigns/year on A350)
·  Test Bench rental: Provide support & technical assistance to Airlines on our test benches to validate the Interoperability with their specific ground/maintenance eSolutions
·  Lead demonstrations on eOperation to Airlines
·  Airline Maintenance Operations to peers

Required skills

We are looking for a pro-active engineer, ideally with a degree in Aeronautics or IT, able to connect people across functions and result-oriented.
You shall be open-minded, technically curious and hands-on, with good communication and synthesis skills.

In terms of technical skills, the following is required:

·  Maintenance Operations knowledge,
·  Avionics systems knowledge,
·  Aircraft maintenance principles knowledge,
·  IT knowledge.

An advanced level of English and an intermediate level of French are mandatory
