Description of the job

A vacancy for a Logistics Assistant (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space Secure Land Communications in Elancourt. The successful candidate will join the logistics, customs, export control and product support team (TOBSS3) within the Supply Chain.
You will work in close collaboration with the project, procurement, sales administration, customs representative and service provider teams.
This position will require security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

You will report directly to the Logistics, customs, export control and product support manager.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Managing imports and exports from the Elancourt site (R&D projects, customer presentations, etc.),
·  Providing internal customers with technical assistance for their logistic and customs issues,
·  Following up customs activity performance (service quality, compliance with deadlines and objectives, statistical analyses) and preparing monthly performance reviews for the 4PL service provider,
·  Managing external customs clearance operations,
·  Drafting exchange of goods declarations,
·  Contributing to improving the supply chain process,
·  Managing product support subcontractors,
·  Updating dashboards and monitoring KPIs,
·  Following up logistics claims.

This role will involve some travel for business, (in France), and as such, you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

The successful applicant should have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 2-year degree level (or equivalent) in international trade or a related field
·  You have experience in the import/export and/or Supply Chain fields
·  Knowledge of regulations concerning dual-use goods and hazardous materials would be a plus
·  SAP
·  Priority management
·  Autonomous
·  Analytical skills, pro-active approach
·  Excellent internal and external communication skills
·  Flexible
·  Language skills: Negotiation level of French and English
