Description of the job

A vacancy for an IT Operations Specialist (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse. You will join the “FCOR / Customer Affairs” department.
You will closely collaborate with application owners and operation teams and will directly report to the head of the department.
You will have to deliver and deploy IT products and services with end-to-end accountability in conjunction with the Product Manager.
You will also be responsible for the reliability, efficiency and availability of the systems environment as well as the timely delivery and deployment of IT products and services.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Ensuring the provisioning of new software packages and upgrades.,
·  Maintaining the infrastructure in operational condition in line with OLA/SLAs,
·  Ensuring services are delivered in accordance with agreed customer requirements and that they continue to meet or exceed expectations,
·  Monitoring and tracking system performance against negotiated service-level agreements (SLAs),
·  Monitoring both insourced and outsourced teams and activities (in conjunction with contract management done in the sourcing teams),
·  Communicating improvement, updates and obsolescence management of products to the IT Product Manager,
·  Providing support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, depending on the needs of the company and the use of automated scheduling and remote monitoring,
·  Performing the ITIL based support processes that include incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management,
·  Analysing console messages, diagnosing system failures and taking corrective action in order to ensure continuity of operations, escalating to other technical teams and vendors as needed,
·  Supervising system backup processing, and leading disaster recovery tests,
·  Identifying and implementing technologies and processes that improve the reliability, efficiency and availability of the systems environment.

This role will involve standby activities and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:
o Educated to a Master degree level (or equivalent) in Information Technology,
o Experience as a developer or as a development manager,
o Experience in application/solution deployment,
o Ideally, experience in :
 user support,
 problem management,
o Customer and service oriented,
o Good communication skills,
o Language Skills: advanced level of English and French.
