It is an exciting time to join the IT Functional Architecture team as part of the Sell & Support organisation. The “Sell & Support” IT organisation provides information system solutions to support Customer Services and Customer Affairs activities. The quick evolution of the business demand, together with the digital transformation, deeply impact the nature of the solutions and the rhythm required for taking appropriate architecture decisions. Maximizing customer value by mixing powerful innovation technologies with the robustness of our backbones is a key concern.
The Functional Architecture team gathers functional architects who assist the project managers in selecting or defining the best solutions to fulfil the project requirements, while staying in line with the information system strategy.

As IT Functional Architect, you will be responsible for:

·  Investigating capabilities, new technologies, solutions, and promoting new ideas for future IS, influencing the strategy,
·  Analysing and providing, in advance phase, innovative and time to value solution design and architecture schemes in line with new business and ICT challenges (innovation, digitalisation, cloud, development of services…),
·  Ensuring the application landscape consistency (strategy, functional, technology) and checking impacts on the other domains (finance, infrastructure, application services, licenses, etc. ...),
·  Providing, on demand, diagnostic on specific process/solution/tool, and give recommendations.

Your role will involve liaising with people from different backgrounds and organisations, from management to business, from projects to technical architects, to ensure that the overall information system evolution will bring value to the company.
As IS Functional Architect you will be part of a team to design innovative, consistent and efficient IS solution and architecture. Investigating new technologies capabilities, you will take pleasure developing new skills on top of yours, so that you can contribute to strategic architecture decisions.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Your main activities will be the following ones:

INFORMATION SYSTEM:

·  Contributing to the Sell and Support strategy and master plan,
·  Building decision dossier for project launching (Study phase), including development of mock-ups
·  Maintaining a platform-level project roadmap with identification of key activities and risks,
·  Modelling processes, applications and data as required,
·  Staying aware of on-going ICT initiatives, and assessing impacts on the projects roadmap,
·  Contributing to the Airbus Architecture Network & cascading relevant information,
·  Evaluating new technologies and solutions and development mock-ups

PROJECT:

·  Defining and validating architecture (during Concept Phase)
·  Capturing lessons learnt (after Entry Into Service of the solution)

Required skills

As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

● Master's degree level (or equivalent) in Information Technology or related field,
● 3 years of experience minimum in the IT domain,
● Knowledge of digital technologies (Big Data, Internet Of Things, Cloud, etc.),
● Knowledge of SAP solutions would be a plus,
● Knowledge of one or several functional domains (engineering, manufacturing, support functions, etc.),
● Knowledge of the aeronautic domain would be appreciated,
● Ability to model processes, applications and data,
● Advanced level of English,
● Advanced level of French,
● Excellent and adaptive communication with diverse audiences & skills,
● Active listening skills with the ability to understand processes,
