Description of the job

A vacancy for an IT Cloud Architect has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse.

You will join the IT Services France Department belonging to the Services Solutions, M&A, CIS & UAS Unit and closely working with Intelligence business teams.

You will be a member of the Architecture/Projects team that manages internal resources and subcontracted activities.

In collaboration with Service Delivery Managers (SDM) and other IT architects, you will ensure an IT Cloud architect role on Intelligence/IM projects - working in collaboration with Intelligence/IM IT colleagues and Intelligence customers to ensure cloud platform design, support, information, and warning role.

You will be involved in different projects (identified as ITRs - IT Requests) where Cloud platforms implementation is needed.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

As an IT cloud architect, your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

Design:

·  Analyzing customer requirements and IT/Security recommandations
·  Supporting projects in order to study and defining cloud architecture to fulfill business requirements and SLAs
·  Providing guidance on IT engineering guidelines,
·  Designing and comparing the different scenarios in coordination with the Project Manager, the Operational IT Security team, and Service Delivery managers to provide architecture design,
·  Identifying operational impacts,
·  Evaluating ROM-cost, planning and delivery milestones, etc.
·  Validating IT design documents provided by projects (infrastructure, network, integration to IT common services, security…),
·  Contributing to the GEO-Intelligence Systems Roadmap definition
·  Writing architecture design documents

Standardization:

·  Defining cloud guidelines reference documents and consolidate these documents on a regular basis and continuous improvement process
·  Contributing to Airbus DS IM harmonization projects involving cloud subjects: participation to workshops for architectural design, validation of cloud architectures by taking into account Intelligence business needs and integration constraints.
·  Working in coordination with the Security Governance team to define IT engineering guidelines and architectural patterns that are aligned with Airbus DS IM and Intelligence Security policies

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Technical Skills :

·  Wide scope of IT in engineering and architecture
·  Cloud computing technologies: Openstack, Object storage, Container
·  Public cloud computing solutions: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure
·  Infrastructures: Linux, Windows, Active Directory/LDAP, Clustering, virtualization
·  NAS/SAN/Backup architectures and solutions
·  Network (LAN, WAN, firewalls), Security (network, VPN, PKI, Web Security, OS security…)
·  Entreprise Services: mail, file sharing, collaborative portals, database systems, Citrix VDI solutions
·  Monitoring: Nagios, Centreon

General Skills:

·  Knowledge of Satellite Ground Segments, GIS or image processing systems would be a plus
·  Experience on GPP, Agile and ITIL methods,
·  Good communication and teamwork skills,
·  Sense of service and commitment to our customers,
·  Capacity to produce deliverables
·  Rigor, analysis and synthesis skills
·  Advanced level in English
