Description of the job

A permanent job opportunity has arisen for a IP Network Architect (m/f) within Airbus to be based on the Toulouse site in France.

In this position you will participate to the technical design and the development of aeronautical IP (information protocol) network architecture. You will contribute to the definition, development and integration of the systems to match safety and the required performance level according to Airbus systems engineering processes.
With your experience you will contribute to aeronautical system development projects. These projects are in the frame of aircraft connectivity, which is a rapidly growing and moving field, with high customer's interest.

Tasks & accountabilities

This includes the following main activities:

·  defining the overall IP network architecture, by ensuring that the end-to-end conception is correct
·  defining or adapting the IP protocols, by driving the detailed design when required
·  validating the end-to-end function at all stages of the development process
·  contributing to the certification
·  managing the In-Service follow-up.

Required skills

As the successful candidate you are able to demonstrate the following main competences and skills.

·  Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
·  Sound knowledge in IP network architecture and IP protocols
·  High motivation and engagement
·  Ability to set priorities and to take decisions
·  Open mind-set and eager to learn
·  Advanced level in English and ideally in French.
