Start: Winter / spring 2019
Duration: 3-6 months
For Airbus Defence and Space in Manching/Ingolstadt, Germany, within the department TEAMI ISR Systems, we are looking for committed students. The department TEAMI realizes product & technology projects for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance aircraft. We are developing innovative technologies for advanced mission functions, sensor exploitation, computer vision, deep learning and image/video processing.

Tasks & accountabilities
Your exciting tasks:
· Preparation of relevant image data sets,
· Training and test of deep neural networks, development, evaluation and assessment of latest Computer Vision methods & algorithms, etc´.
This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
Required skills
You offer:
· Enrolled student within engineering / avionics, IT, ET, mathematics or physics
· Good programming skills (e.g. Matlab, C/C++, Java, Python or similar)
· First experience in Deep Learning methods
· Lectures in Image Processing and/or Computer Vision are recommended
· English: Advanced level
You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
