Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

For military training systems based on simulation, it is necessary to represent certain equipment in a physical manner.
Smartphone applications are increasingly being used by operators. This is the case of certain applications that can be used for simulation on low-cost Androïd tablets:

·  GPS (implementation of a DAGR), possibly map reading on large tablets,
·  Compass (reading of an Androïd compass),
·  Weather station,
·  Display of the wind direction and speed, temperature and pressure,
·  Firing computer.

During this internship, you will in coordination with the technical manager of the simulator for the interfaces.

This internship will start on 1st March 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main mission will be to develop an Androïd application framework in order to graphically represent the following type of equipment: GPS/maps/compass/weather station/firing computer on low-cost Androïd tablets. The framework will enable an easy modification of the interface with the simulator (C++ architecture for the server and HTML 5 JavaScript for the customer) and will easily allow the development of graphical interfaces (taking the SVG format into account).

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university, specialising in Engineering/Information Technology.

Ideally, you have initial work experience.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent.
