Description of the job

Airbus Toulouse is looking for an intern for a 3 to 4-month internship.

In the framework of autopilot flight testing, the vertical speed at touch down is a key parameter for loads.
It is also used to characterise manual landings.
Existing methods can be used in real time and differed time on a flight-by-flight basis.

This internship will start on 1st March 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

The objective of your study will be to propose alternative means of computation for large dataset (Big Data).
Specific algorithms will be defined, prototyped and validated on existing test data.
Accuracy will be assessed with respect to the current method.
Computation will be performed in Python.

Required skills

You are in the final year of a Master's degree or of an engineering school or university, specialising in Engineering/Aerospace Engineering.

You ideally have initial work experience.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent level.
