Description of the job
Airbus Toulouse is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.
Cockpit Operations is the place where it all starts.
We imagine tomorrow's concepts and functions to support safe and efficient airlines operations.
Our playfield is huge, from cockpit to Air Traffic Management, including service offers, and our people are highly skilled, engaged and driven by end-user satisfaction for the benefit of the overall aviation community.
In the scope of future cockpit studies, your study will explore different ways to answer some issues related to aircraft 4D trajectory and awareness of the meteorological environment, while including sensible aspect based on semiotics that make sense to the user who can be a pilot or a dispatcher.
The objectives of your study: proposing innovative concepts up to detailed user interfaces that will help the end users (pilots or dispatchers) in their tasks and their situation awareness.
This internship will start on 1st February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities
Your responsibilities will include:
· Understanding the aeronautical concept,
· Searching for analogies in other fields,
· Animating creative workshops with multi-disciplinary profiles (engineer, human factor, pilot…),
· Proposing and designing User Interfaces (displays and interactions) to support the concept
· wireframes, paper mock-up, storyboard, screen flow,
· mood board, detailed design,
· Supporting the resources developing mock-ups,
· Contributing to design assessment with end-users,
· Proposing developments of the concept.
Your future working environment: you will integrate a multi-disciplinary team (engineers, people with operational knowledge of a flight and of the use of an aircraft, human factors) working at taking up the challenges for next generation of aircraft cockpit.
Required skills
You are in the final year of an engineering school or a Master's degree at university (5th year), specializing in Design.
You ideally have initial experience in this field.
You have knowledge of:
· Interaction and Graphic designer,
· User Experience (UX) / User Interface (UI) designer,
· Graphic representation meaningful, Semiotic,
· Information design, graphic design, visual design,
· Animation supporting understanding (cognitive support),
· Tactile gestures.
You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
English: advanced level,
French: fluent level.
