Description of the job

Airbus Toulouse is looking for an intern for 6-month internship.

Engineering in Plant has become a key actor in Airbus organisation. It must bring engineering resources and talents to work as a team within a Plant in order to make this Plant deliver and perform improvement on Quality, Cycles and Costs.

You will join the ESXAP department (Continuous Product Development for Nantes Plant Engineering), based in Toulouse, in a multicultural team.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Performing several tolerancing studies on parts assembly processes. This in the framework of CPD activities, i.e. mods implementation and Continuous Improvements studies on Central Wing Box and Keel Beam products manufactured in Nantes plant.
·  Analysing assembly process from components to assemblies in order to define savings opportunities for future mods on A350 XWB program.

The main challenges of your internship are to work within a remote team, on different programs, with a variety of tools.It is very rich in terms of learning.

This is a transverse position, which allows a step in industrial world, with a direct application on products.

This position based in Toulouse (Focus A350) but some travels are expected mainly towards Nantes plant.

Required skills

You are in the 2nd year of a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university, engineering school or equivalent specialising in Aicraft Design Engineering.

You have the following skills:

·  Design structure basics skills with associated relevant tools,
·  CATIA V5R16 et R21 (module HnF et FTA).

You are open minded and you are recognised for your ability to work in a Manufacturing plant and Engineering cross programs environment.

You have an innovative mindset with the ability to step back.

You are pragmatic, autonomous and you have the capability of looking for the information when needed.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: advanced level,
German is a plus.
