Description of the job

Airbus Safran Launchers (Les Mureaux) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

In the context of development of space launcher flight software, a control panel must be established in order to monitor the progress of the various activities within the cycle of specification / design / coding / unitary testing / integration / validation and all the associated checks. The management of a space launcher software project is a complex affair: The development team is large, the technical perimeter is considerable, the quantity of documents, source files, product tests is huge. Effective project management demands detailed evaluation of the effective progress of the work, the quality of production and productivity of the team, the problems encountered, the risks.

As a member of the team responsible for the development of Ariane 5/6 flight software, you will have the opportunity to gain skills in the overall development process for critical software, project management, data management and processing.

This internship will start on 1st February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

In the context of this mission, your objective will be to be able to produce project indicators regularly and automatically. These indicators are to be determined on the basis of information extracted essentially from the data produced and available under configuration control, in the data base of technical events of the project and the monitoring data base of tasks to be performed.

You will generate, among others, indicators for:

·  The rates of occurrence and types of anomalies,
·  The mean productivity per activity,
·  The maturity of requirements,
·  The progress / work remaining per activity,
·  The budget versus the actual expenditure,
·  The level of skills of the resources per activity.

Your mission will consist of several stages:

·  Analysis of management requirements and identification of indicators,
·  Analysis of the available data,
·  Elaboration of a specification for the tools enabling the extraction of information and generation of indicators with display in graphical form of their evolution over time,
·  Elaboration of a model of such tools.

Required skills

You are in the 2nd year of a Master's degree or in the 5th year of an engineering school, specialising in Mechanical Engineering.

Ideally, you have initial work experience.

You have the skills in the following areas:

·  Knowledge of JAVA, Perl and UMP programming languages,
·  Linux / Windows environments

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: Intermediate level,
French: Fluent.
