Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern for a 4-6 month internship.

Your internship will be part of the development of a broadband radio communication system to the MCPPT (3GPP) standard, under the responsibility of a supervisor.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

·  Analysing the new application requirements (e.g. facial recognition, digital fingerprint recognition, video surveillance, concealed weapon detection, crime scene analysis, automated intervention reports, crime prediction, evidence management, etc.) of our PMR customers (particularly public security organisations) to be proposed on our new-generation radio communication networks (4G)
·  Studying the existing solutions on the market and identifying the technologies to be implemented to develop them
·  Finally, after selecting one of these applications, producing a prototype.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, the 2nd year of a Master's degree or in 5th year of university, specialising in Telecommunications.

You ideally have some initial experience.

You have skills in:

·  Linux environment
·  One or more programming languages
·  Technologies used for big data applications
·  Open source software
·  Databases.

Knowledge of communication protocols would be a plus.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level
French: fluent.
