Description of the job

Airbus Helicopters (Marignane) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

Within the Maintenance Technical Data of Airbus Helicopters technical support, the Technical Data (ESEMZ) department produces the configuration and the illustration of the data allowing the customer to identify the parts to be acquired during maintenance for commercial helicopter programmes.

IPC is a key documentation that can be used by customers for helicopter maintenance, but also for internal purposes (Technical Representative, MRO, etc.).
The Centre of Competence works daily with the Design Office and the spare parts department to achieve customer satisfaction with respect to spare parts, deliveries and the documentation of operational maintenance.

Your main tasks will include:

·  Participating in the Tech Data transformation plan by performing certain activities of the Tech Data/IPC part,
·  Developing synergies between maintenance guides and the illustrated catalogue by carrying out projects enabling the identification and the improvement of consistency between guides.

You will work and exchange with other entities, such as: Design Office, programme, configuration management, Tech Data, etc. within a technical environment, based on configuration management and engineering analyses.

This internship will start on 1st February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

You main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Drafting a project charter,
·  Elaborating a plan,
·  Providing the expected deliverables within deadlines and quality,
·  Proposing recommendations.

You will work e.g. on the following project:

·  Consistency check between the maintenance guide and the IPC for the LH EC130 and the recommendations on consistent methods, guidelines,
·  Improvement work of processes with the Design Office (Tech Data interfaces, As Is description, clarifications on expectations, proposals),
·  Being involved in concurrent engineering for a specific modification to be done on the H225M as part of a new contract: how to propose the best maintenance concept based on the existing and the integration of new design constraints,
·  Establishing a technical policy for spare electrical wiring systems of commercialised helicopters.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, university or equivalent (5-year degree) in Aerospace/Aerodynamics Engineering.

You ideally have initial experience in this field.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: advanced level,
French: fluent level.
