Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space SLC (Elancourt) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

Within Airbus Defence and Space, you will join the Product Security Office team within the Secure Land Communication entity as an intern.
The goal of this entity is to define security solutions and products, in particular in the field of professional radio communication networks.
You will study a homomorphic encryption scheme using lattice-based cryptography.
Homomorphic encryption enables handling of encrypted data without compromising their confidentiality.
This encryption mode provides very diverse applications such as shared encryption, cloud computing or electronic voting.

This internship will start on 1st February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

The internship will be composed of several phases:

·  Study of the state of the art of homomorphic encryption;
·  Analysis of encryption algorithms using lattice-based cryptography;
·  Implementation of such algorithms;
·  Comparative studies of the properties of the algorithms: complexity of implementation, vulnerability to attack by covert channels etc.

Required skills

You are in the second or final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree or in the 4th or 5th year of university, specialising in Information Technology.

You ideally should have initial experience in the domain.

You have knowledge in:

·  cryptography,
·  algorithms and the study of complexity,
·  algebra, groups, finite bodies,
·  development tools = Python, C or C++. #

An interest in theoretical studies would be an advantage.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

You are recognised as being able to work without supervision, you are dynamic, you have an excellent capability for analysis and synthesis, you are enthusiastic in your work and are always ready to serve.

English: Advanced level.
French: Fluent
