Description of the job

An internship related to the specification of cockpit display systems (m/f) has arisen with Airbus Operations SAS at its Saint-Martin site.

This internship will start on 1st March 2017 (subject to some flexibility) for a period of 6 months.

Tasks & accountabilities

As part of the development of cockpit display systems (Head Down Display and Head Up Display), the objective of this internship is to find specification systems for the display symbology in order to improve symbology harmonisation between the various Airbus programmes, optimise Validation & Verification activities and improve cost estimations for system modifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

·  Analysing the current specifications
·  Analysing the new display requirements
·  Proposing specification and Validation & Verification methods
·  Experimenting with the potential display formats: e.g. PFD or SD formats.

Required skills

·  You are currently enrolled in an Engineering school specialising in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent (5-year degree)
·  Knowledge of modelling software/tools (Simulink, SolidWOrk, SketchUp, etc.)
·  Knowledge of the aeronautical field
·  Advanced level of English and advanced level of French.
