Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 3/4-month internship. This internship will start in March/April 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

The Operation Products team develops software products for satellite ground control centers. A control center allows monitoring and piloting one or several satellites. The team develops and maintains a whole suite of products that can be deployed on various control centers platforms to enable easy monitoring and commanding operations.

The goal of this internship is to set up a demonstration platform that integrates the whole suite of products developed in the team, in order to be able to present the product features and evolutions to clients.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

·  Define several demonstration scenarios.
·  Deploy and configure the products on the platform. If necessary, develop scripts or tools to perform these tasks.
·  Deploy and/or configure external subsystems and data necessary for a complete demonstration.
·  Ensure the upgradability of the solution: new products versions should be easy to deploy.
·  Ensure the stability of the solution.

You will have the opportunity to work with the team and in particular with each software product manager. The internship will be managed with the Agile SCRUM methodology.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  You are currently studying a BAC+2 / BAC+3 in Computer Science / IT specialising in Software Development and looking for a 3-4 months internship.
·  Experience in Programming in Java / Python.
·  Experience with the following software development environment: Eclipse IDE (integrated development environment); Jenkins / GIT would be a plus.
·  Experience with Linux – knowing how use of the command line interface is mandatory.
·  Familiarity with Agile SCRUM methodology
·  You are autonomous, proactive and are recognised for your analytical and synthesis skills.
·  You have an advanced level in French and intermediate level in English.
