Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

The mobile router is a future Airbus product performing an IP routing over heteregeneous radio networks. It uses innovative routing protocols for that purpose and it will implement optimised standard services like SMTP, Xmpp, DDS, media streaming.

This internship will start on 28th November 2016 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

The subject of your internship is :

·  to implement a (Java) Xmpp service adapted to the constraints of embedded environment and high latency / low bandwidth networks,
·  to implement a (Java) media streaming service that reencodes on the fly a mediastream,
·  to adapt to the bandwidth of the network routes,
·  to responsible for detailed design and software development to the specifications made at superior levels,
·  to deliver the design, prototyped SW module delegated to, as per Work Package description. Manage version control of various iterations if necessary,
·  to provide all documentation related to the delegated work package.

The development will be done in Java.

1/Inputs : Requirements provided by the design authority, design rules and standards, interfaces requirements and constraints, workpackages definition.

2/Outputs: Implementation Data Package,

Required skills

You are in the final year of a Master's degree, or of an Engineering school, specialising in Telecom, Networks.

You are a good team player and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent level
