Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

The portfolio of Secure Land Communications Program Line encompasses professional mobile radio communication (PMR), including network solutions, radio terminals, dispatching, network and security operating centers, and services.

In the Terminal SW Engineering France team, you will have to design and implement a software solution on a Android host device in order to control a new PMR Terminal prototype thanks to USB and/or BT interface. A good knowledge of real time OS mechanism is needed.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  participation to software's design with a software's architect,
·  Implementation and adaption of existing embedded software to reach the solution,
·  Implementation of user interface under Android.

Required skills

You are completing a 5-year degree, specialising in Software and Engineering.

You ideally have initial experience in this field and excellent knowledge of:

·  Real Time OS: Embedded Linux. Real time linux solutions knowledge will be appreciated (such as xenomai)
·  low layers software (such as USB or BT stacks)
·  Langage C, Android JAVA
·  Android
·  Knowledge of SW versioning tool such as GIT or Clearcase

You have the ability to synthetize.
You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: advanced level
French: fluent
