Description of the job

An internship position for a Satellite Antenna Analysis and Test Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse. You will join the Toulouse Entity of the "Telecom Antenna Group" Department who are notably in charge of antenna acceptance for satellites and products.
In this context, you will join the Antenna Validation Project team who are in charge of the implementation and follow-up of satellite antenna tests in the anechoic chamber.
This internship will start in March 2017 (date subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

You will be in charge of performing:

·  Evaluating the deformation of an antenna deflector under gravity using simple models but reflecting the reflector physics. Integrating these deformations in the Radio Frequency analysis.
·  Developing and optimising Radio Frequency measurement post-processing tools using Matlab.
·  Optimisation of the anechoic chamber RF modelling.

Required skills

As the successful candidate, you should be able to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

·  in the 2nd year of your Master's or 5th year of University or an Engineering school, specialising in mathematics and/or signal processing
·  Initial experience/good knowledge of signal processing, HF antennas, IT,
·  general concepts of mechanics,
·  Knowledge of Matlab and Excel,
·  Interest in the validation and tests on satellites
·  ability to grasp the needs of final users.
·  Excellent interpersonal skills,
·  Advanced level of English, proficiency in French would be an asset.
