Description of the job

Airbus (Nantes) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

You will report to the Quality department on the Nantes site.

This internship will start on 16th January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Within the scope of this position, you will handle the following data:

·  Customer and Company Quality Assurance Requirements and Standards
·  Accreditation Systems
·  Airworthiness Requirements, Research and Development (R&D) studies.

Your main tasks will include:

·  Defining Quality standards for technical Quality activities related to laboratory activities, materials, special processes, calibration, Non-Destructive Testing, particularly the associated Accreditation Systems
·  Supporting other department functions for the Continued Airworthiness of helicopters
·  Leading the Research and Development related to technical Quality activities and providing the appropriate technical assistance to all other functions
·  Defining Quality Assurance rules and procedures for materials, special processes, non-destructive testing, calibration and laboratory activities.
·  Developing and implementing new non-destructive testing technologies and calibration methods/tools
·  Assisting other functions in terms of Technical Quality Assurance.

The objective of your internship will be to achieve Airbus Helicopters Regulations in compliance with international standards (NADCAP, ISO 17025).

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school or a Master's degree or in 5th year of university, specialising in Quality Assurance or Engineering Quality.

You have skills in steering improvement/quality/innovation.

You ideally have some initial experience.

You are a strong team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level
French: fluent.
