Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space Satellites (Elancourt) is looking for a trainee for a 6-month internship.

You will join the Purchasing Department of the Secure Land Communications (SLC) subsidiary of AIRBUS Defence and Space.
The role of the Purchasing Department of Airbus DS SLC is to manage the end-to-end purchasing process for its internal customers (answering calls for tender, customer projects, and R&D projects).

The purpose of this internship is to set up supplier databases for various - sub-systems: radio equipment (microwave radio systems, antennas, indoor radio coverage solutions), communication registration systems and shelters. - Rollout and support services
All tasks will be conducted in English (oral and written).

This internship will be available from 14 November 2016 (although there is a certain degree of flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your assignments will include:

·  Collecting supplier bids received in reply to calls for tender and customer projects
·  Defining the characterization of the sub-systems and services, in very close collaboration with the Radio Engineering, System Engineering, Rollout, Support and Tender Management teams
·  Creating a database of sub-systems and service providers, including:

* Characteristics of the sub-systems from a technical and performance point of view
* Characteristics of the services from a technical, performance and implementation point of view (remote / local service)
* Supplier profiles
* Prices of supplier proposals
* Conditions of supplier proposals

·  Drafting of a user guide for the database
·  Support for this database by a bids manager and a project purchasing manager
·  Completion of the database following feedback from users

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school or a Master's degree or in 5th year at university, specialising in Telecommunications/Networks.
You are also being trained as a buyer.

Ideally, you already have some initial experience.

You are known for your curiosity, initiative and proactiveness.
You are recognised for your meticulous approach.
Candidates must be comfortable working as part of a team and have excellent interpersonal skills.

You are proficient with Excel.

English: Intermediate level
French: Fluent.
