Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern for a 5-6 month internship.

When applied to embedded space applications, the transmission of data at flow rates greater than gigabytes allows for the transmission of images from cameras or high-speed acquisition systems such as radars.
The purpose of your internship is to develop fast connection electrical and optical networks.

This internship will start on 1st April 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

·  Developing a demonstrator on FPGA target implementing the Serdes functions associated with electrical and optical interface components,
·  After introducing the protocol layer in the FPGA, characterise the electrical and functional performance of the link.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, the second year of a Master's degree or the 5th year of university, specialising in Engineering/Electronics/Microwave, more specifically in Digital Electronics.

You ideally have some initial experience.

You have skills in the following areas:

·  FPGA architecture,
·  VHDL
·  Electronic components.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level.
French: fluent.
