Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 4-month internship.

This internship will start on 1st April 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

·  Producing and building the costing and estimations of costs,
·  Providing expertise for the analysis of cost factors associated to a technology, specific product in order to facilitate decision-making,
·  Being in charge of the design of cost models, calculating cost information and maintaining up-to-date the necessary references,
·  Being a specialist for the cost engineering methodology,
·  Being able to maintain and develop the required technical knowledge for cost estimation by interfacing with various experts,
·  Gathering the relevant information in order to elaborate cost information (e.g. estimation, cost analyses, etc.) in collaboration with internal experts;
·  Organising and carrying out interviews and/or workshops, if necessary to clarify requirements and hypotheses,
·  Preparing, contesting, if necessary, and building the synthesis of the required hypotheses for the production of cost estimation; in the case of partial input data, generating coherent hypotheses in accordance with all involve stakeholders.
·  Selecting and deciding on cost methods, tools and references to be used,
·  Producing and providing the necessary cost information and assessing the associated risks;
·  Identifying cost factors and recommending possible alternatives for cost optimisation in the framework of hypotheses, references, models and available experience,
·  Supporting the understanding and the acceptance of cost estimations/analysis to all stakeholders.
·  Participating in the harmonisation, development and capitalisation of models/engineering references of costs in your field of expertise.

Required skills

You are in the 1st or 2nd year of a business school, completing a 3-year degree or in the 1st year of a Master's degree or the 3rd or 4th year of university, specialising in Finance/Management Control.

You ideally have initial experience.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level.
French: fluent.
