Tasks & accountabilities

The Performance & Improvement team, comprising the AETs teams and project managers, is in charge of the A350 FAL performance improvement.

Respect for deliveries of the A350 to customers depends in part on our ability to model the actual production capacities on assembly stations in relation to programme requirements (production rates).

Many scalable parameters constitute the calculation model, namely critical cycles, reduction deltas, Wright's law, contingency/hazard level, etc. In addition, projects were started at each station of the FAL to improve the processes (VA) and the variability (NVA) and therefore to reduce the production cycles.

Your missions will be to:

The candidate, in conjunction with his / her tutor, will have to produce an IT tool allowing to integrate all the parameters constituting the calculation of the production capacity for all the FAL stations. It will also have to integrate the new aircraft standards of the programme.

Operationally, this tool will be used by a "non-expert" technician in Information Technology. Moreover, the tool will be probably modified depending on the specific requests from the FAL management and from the programme. The aim is therefore to design a simple tool complying with these constraints.

1.) Creation of the tool which allows displaying the curve of production capacity according to a theoretical model and rates requested by the programmes. Medium and long-term vision.
2.) Interface with the support trades to identify the input data. Data extraction. Document update.
