Description of the job

An internship in Process engineering for electronic assembly manufacturing (m/f) has opened up at Airbus in Toulouse.
On behalf of the AIRBUS "Avionics and Simulation products" electronic assembly manufacturing, you will be the privileged interface of the NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) project leader.
This internship will start in February 2017 (date subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

You will conduct a review of all electronic assembly processes (from component preparation to electronic card varnish). This review will be done in accordance with the NADCAP requirements.
For all identified gaps (deficiencies, improvements, etc.), you will need to propose the corrective actions (at operator level with the associated documentation updates) to be implemented in manufacturing with the objective of meeting NADCAP requirements.
The job will include documentation review and update, operator interviews and training as well as project management (scheduling, action follow-up, costing).

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  In the 2nd year of a Master's degree or in 5th year of an engineering school, or university, specialising in methods, process, quality and/or manufacturing engineering,
·  Ideally initial experience in this field,
·  Knowledge of electronic assembly manufacturing would be a plus,
·  Good communication skills,
·  Team player,
·  Advanced level of English and French.
