Description of the job

Airbus Toulouse is looking for an intern for 6-month internship.

Engine & Nacelle ventilation and thermal integration team is in charge of the sizing, the design and the validation of ventilation and thermal protections in engine compartments.

Numerical simulation is intensively used especially in the detailed design phase.
For 3D ventilation simulation, unsteady Navier-Stokes LES CFD methods are used today for programs under development. However, the overall CAD to CAE process as well as simulation validation is time consuming.

This internship will start on 1st October 2016 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

The objective of the internship is to assess automated CAD simplification and meshing methodology available in the very latest mesh generators.

Mesh refinement based on automatic simulation quality criterion will also be tested on real engine compartment.

Required skills

You are in the 2nd year of a master's or the 5th year of engineering school, university or equivalent specialising in Engineering / General Engineering.

You ideally have an initial experience.

You are a strong team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: Advanced level,
French: Fluent level.
