Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 6 month internship.

Airbus Defence and Space develops the attitude and orbit monitoring system (SCAO) of telecommunication satellite constellations into low Earth orbit. The technical specifications of this mission require to reconsider the satellite developments by seeking an optimal system (for all the satellites of the constellation) and with the associated segments ground and not just for the satellite only.

The need for a telecommunication constellation imposes new constraints on developments SCAO: need for permanent total cover to ensure the mission that it is on the link/bond going up (customer towards space segment) and going down (space segment towards segment ground), capacity of reconfiguration in orbit, robustness at local time of the orbit, on-board/ground autonomy for station keeping and of the mission, robustness to equipment reconfigurations, capacity of de-orbiting in degraded configuration, etc…

This internship will start on 3 rd April 2017 (subject to some flexibility).
