The loads and Aeroelastics domain in Airbus is responsible for the calculation of loads exerted on the aircraft structure in any phase of the flight. The evaluation of the loads is performed all along the aircraft development cycle, from aircraft design to certification. The loads and Aeroelastics domain is also involved in case of in service incident when loads may have exceeded the limits.
You will develop high end capabilities to support the analysis of some specific incidents: the hard landing. In case of hard landing, we need to assess whether the landing gear and the aircraft structure has suffered from the high loads generated by the even or not.

· Creating a co-simulation environment where we can use the Virtual Lab Motion tool (commercial on the shelf from Siemens) to compute with high fidelity the landing gear loads and interaction with the airframe, and Airbus in-house simulation tool to take into account aerodynamic effects and generate the loads on the structure,
· Setting up the landing gear model, the aircraft model and the simulation environment in a way that we can represent with a good representativeness some hard landing events that happened on the Airbus fleet.
