Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

Thanks to lower costs for both satellite manufacturing and launchers, we can now consider relying on multiple satellites instead of large but few ones and so reduce significantly delays for shooting high resolution image requests from space (typically from several days to a couple of hours).

You will be responsible for designing and developing a mission analysis tool for performing sensitivity analyses and optimisations on constellation characteristics such as orbital parameters, number of satellites or station visibilities.
You will also contribute to the definition of the next generation of systems for providing satellite imagery, have the opportunity to understand the main drivers for defining complex space systems and acquire significant knowledge on satellites and ground segments.

This internship will start on 1st March 2016 (subject to some flexibility).
