Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 6 month internship.

The AOCS departments apply innovative control strategy not only to spacecraft dynamical control but also to thermal control engineering. The AOCS expertise in control engineering enables to optimize, in cooperation with thermal engineers, the thermal control performance of optical payloads.

This internship will start on 3 rd April 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

You will be in charge of developing an industrial tool in Matlab / Simulink to simplify and industrialize the thermal control tuning process. Recommendations and improvements of the tuning methods can also be proposed.

At the end of the study, a validation test on a real application will be done either on a past or an on-going actual projects.

Required skills

You are in the 2nd year of a master's or the 5th year of engineering school, university or equivalent specializing in Engineering / Aerospace Engineering.

You ideally have an initial experience in this domain.

You have knowledge of:

·  System control (PI controller, stability analysis…)
·  Matlab / Simulink.

You are a strong team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: negotiation level,
French: negotiation level.
