Description of the job

Airbus Toulouse is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

You will work on the nose and centre fuselage (NCF) of the A350 within the department in charge of the design and calculations for the system installation.
Always at the cutting edge of the technology, Airbus is developing the Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM) for weight and cost optimisation when applicable.
This internship permits to develop knowledge on the system installation environment, using stress analysis, 3D printing and bionic designs.

This internship will start on 1st March 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your responsibilities will include:

·  Being familiar with the system installation environment on NCF,
·  Taking part in the proposal of candidates (single parts, full system installation) for 3D printing,
·  Developing the new design, do the stress analysis and present it to the innovation department.

Required skills

You are in the final year of an engineering school or a Master's degree at university (5th year), specialising in aeronautical or mechanical engineering.

Ideally you have initial experience in this field.

You have knowledge of:

·  Numeric and analytic stress analysis (FEM, …),
·  Digital Mock-up (Catia, …),
·  Structure and stress structure,
·  ALM method would be a plus.

Knowledge of an A/C architecture would be a plus.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: advanced level.
