Description of the job

Airbus (Nantes) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

Airbus Nantes is the sole manufacturer of wing boxes for the entire Airbus aircraft range.
This component is structural because it ensures the junction between the fuselage and the wing of the aircraft. The requirements of geometric compliance are essential for aircraft assembly and for its flight performance. The geometric mastery of wing boxes goes through the mastery of box sub-assemblies.
Further to the implementation of the LR 0 Disturbance project which allows the adjustment with Laser assistance at the A330 centre wing box general assembly station, we want to carry out the statistical monitoring (SPC) of incoming components in order to have a better control of geometric compliance.
Your internship will be oriented towards the deployment of this approach on the A330 programme production lines. This includes the definition of a Laser measured reading protocol based on points measured with laser, the establishment of a SPC monitoring base, the creation of alerts and a monitoring plan. While analysing these results, you will search for root causes, and define the action plan to improve the variability of sub-assemblies.

This internship will start on 15th February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).
