Description of the job

Airbus Helicopters (Marignane) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

The topic of this internship is lifecycle management of production engineering data.

You will join the dynamic assembly production engineering department. This department includes 25 people dedicated to the industrialisation of power gearboxes for all helicopters in development.

The available input date are preparation data (operating modes, manufacturing pre-project, manufacturing intermediate geometry, stack-ups, production documentation), programming data (machining process, cutting tools data, NC programmes, workshop demonstration feedback, etc.) and the industrialisation and architecture process of existing data.

The existing tools that you will use are:

·  CATIA V5
·  The Activity Preparation Management tool

The expected output data is the optimisation of the management of industrialisation data on the entire process of the mechanical transmission method department.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your tasks will include:

·  Carrying out a state of the art assessment for the existing situation,
·  Analysing data flows,
·  Identifying defective points (disruption of data transmission, redundancy of data, break-up of the information),
·  Proposing an architecture,
·  Carrying out a test case,
·  Producing a deployment plan,
·  Steering the deployment.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree, or in a university or equivalent (5-year degree), specialising in Mechanical Engineering.

You are a proficient user of CATIA V5.

You ideally have initial experience in this field.

You are a good team player and you have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent level.
