Description of the job

Airbus (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

You will join the Media Relations Team Support which is responsible for:

·  Updating media data base and release tools: Update of journalist contacts / taking care of lists and best leverage of tool,
·  Organising media-visits, -trips and -events, conferences and seminars,
·  Securing transport, hotel and flight logistics for the journalists.
·  Dealing with the specifications with GDO for major events,
·  Managing the outsourcing of media visits:

* Preparing the tender of specifications,
* Tender follow-up and evaluation,
* Support Airshows organisation,

·  Taking into account the needs for a specific event and support the audio-visual manager: support on press kit and documentation preparations, photo requests, backgrounders, translations follow-up.

The team is also in charge of:

·  Promoting and protecting the Airbus Brand
·  Defining the strategy & proactively set the news agenda to increase Airbus' positive visibility and media coverage.
·  Being the company spokesperson (on and off the record etc.)
·  Defining the messages and brief internal stakeholders accordingly
·  Sense stories the journalists are after.
·  Managing and contain crisis
·  Establishing solid relationships with the media and key industry stakeholders,
·  Reacting quickly to journalist's inquiries (interviews, visits…) on deadline!

This internship will start on 19th June 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

·  Organising media-visits, -trips and -events, conferences and seminars,
·  Updating media data base and release tools,
·  Taking into account the needs for a specific event and support the audio-visual manager: support on press kit and documentation preparations, photo requests, backgrounders, translations follow-up.

Required skills

You have a Bac+2 or a Bachelor's degree, specialising in Communication or you are in the 1st year of a Master's degree, or of a business school or equivalent, specialising in Communication.

You ideally have initial experience in the domain and you have the following competencies:

·  Communication Strategy & Planning,
·  Event Management,
·  Crisis Communication management,
·  Communication to Audiences,
·  Media Relations,
·  Communication Channels & Tools,
·  Branding,
·  Web trained.

You master Outlook and the Microsoft pack Office.
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop would be a plus.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: Advanced to fluent level.
French: Intermediate level,
Any other language would be a plus.
