Description of the job

Airbus (Toulouse) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

You will join the LR Pylon Engineering Team and will be close to the product.
A330 pylon have been designed using the former CAD tools. Your role will be to consolidate and expand upon the space allocation mock-ups in their CATIA version.

This internship is supposed to start in January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Updating the pre-MSN922 mock-ups through modification:
·  Opening 2D drawings and/or recovering CADDs data,
·  Designing/modifying the parts,
·  Participating in, constructing and/or modifying the digital mock-up.
·  Cleaning out the clashes (modelling or assembly problems),
·  Updating the names of parts in the CATIA tree,
·  Implementing canes for drilling (data of fastener characteristics: type, length code and diameter).

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Currently studying for a Mechanical Engineering degree with an emphasis on 3D Modeling/Design, you are looking for a 6-month required internship.
·  Proven experience with Catia V.5.
·  Knowledge in Configuration Management would be a plus.
·  Ability to read drawings.
·  Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Macros/VBA
·  You are recognised for your meticulous approach, your curiosity and your perseverance.
·  You have a negotiation level in French and have an intermediate level of English.
