Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Les Mureaux) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

Within the framework of its activities of mechanical system design and development, the military launcher Design Office located in Paris area offers an internship on design and analysis of mechanisms, and assessment of their area of operation.

This internship will start on 2nd January, 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

You will join the project team working on development and will have the following missions:

·  analysing the simulation tools available on the market (multi body dynamic analysis)
·  participating in the creativity sessions and study of the design choices
·  modelling the systems for functional simulation purposes
·  checking sizing (static and dynamic) and assessing functional performance.

All these activities will be performed in a R&D context.
You may also be required to participate in the first simulations in order to produce a first prototype.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school or a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university, specialising in Mechanics.

You ideally have an initial experience in this field.

In the course of your mission, you will be required to use the Catia V5 and Adams design tools.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: advanced level,
French: fluent level.
