Description of the job

Airbus Safran Launchers (Les Mureaux) is looking for a trainee for a 4 to 6-month internship.

Your assignment, within the Engineering Systems Department in the ground means and infrastructures organization, will be to facilitate and improve the interface and configuration management processes.

You will join a multidisciplinary project team at the design stage combining specific jobs related to infrastructure (civil engineering, ventilation, fluids, electricity, instrumentation and control, equipment handling, etc.) to meet system requirements related to processes, nuclear safety, HSE, ILS, etc. You will be part of the "Cross-disciplinary Consistency" centre responsible for the engineering system and configuration. Depending on your involvement and the owner's requirements, a contribution in support of system engineering may be considered.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

You will assist the interface and configuration Manager with the following roles, to:

·  Ensure the project's configuration control policy is implemented
·  Prepare interface and change committees: interface with design engineering disciplines before committee meetings and follow-up on the committees' action as well as sending reminders to players
·  Take part in interface and change committee meetings
·  Manage the interface and change databases and tools
·  Interface with the project's documentary management team to ensure the design changes are properly taken into account
·  Run brainstorming sessions on the relevance of indicators
·  Improve processes and work tools.

Required skills

You are in the second or third year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree or in your 4th or 5th year of university, specialising in General Engineering or Information Technology.

Ideally, you have initial work experience.

You have the following qualities:

·  Good inter-personal skills
·  Can work alone / independently
·  Ability to take the initiative

With good computer skills, you are a driving force in improving methods and tools.

Candidates must be comfortable working as part of a team and have excellent interpersonal skills.

French: Fluent
