Description of the job

Airbus (Nantes) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

You will join the Manufacturing Engineering team in the composite and metal parts sector.

This internship will start on 9th January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main activities will include:

·  Participating in the optimisation and rationalisation of cutting tools for the machining of detail parts,
·  Taking part in quality problem solving actions linked to machining processes.

This mission includes transnational exchanges.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree or in 5th year of university. You have a general engineering background or you are specialising in Industrial engineering or Quality.

Ideally you have initial experience in industrial engineering or quality engineering.

You have skills in the following areas:

·  Change Management,
·  Organisation management fundamentals,
·  Installation and industrialisation of manufacturing systems,
·  Industrial Engineering fundamentals,
·  Definition and calculation of standard time values,
·  Ergonomics of industrial means,
·  "Standard Line Balancing" method,
·  Industrial system performance improvement and support.

You are able to carry out analytical and operational follow-up work in the field.

You are dynamic, meticulous and organised, and are a driving force in the identification and processing of blocking points related to your task.

You are a strong team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent.
