Description of the job

Airbus Blagnac is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

You will join the Airbus Flight Hour and Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) Services (Customer Services and Support area).

The SLRR mission is to create, develop and put in place a LRU repair model, adaptable also to APUs.

The Airbus Flight hours services (FHS) operators require cost-effective maintenance options to secure the technical performance of their fleets with minimum risk and investment.

This is why FHS is working to propose the most competitive offers in the market in order to commit with our customers' expectations.

This internship will start on 1st February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your responsibilities will include:

·  Analysing LRU technical documentation (CMM, SFR, SBs…) in order to understand how LRUs work,
·  Elaborating an Excel database with all subassemblies of main LRUs,
·  Gathering main LRUs repair data (technical and cost) from suppliers to complete the LRU model. For that, you will need to manage the communication with a number of important suppliers and Airbus Partners,
·  Working with Airbus FHS Supplier Management Team and FHS Engineering team to validate the technical and pricing statements of the model,
·  Analysing the last main LRU repair quotes to obtain and estimate occurrence (k%) and repair cost of every LRU subassembly,
·  After the model set up, provide technical and pricing data to FHS Supplier Management team and FHS Procurement team to support negotiation of supplier repair proposals.

Required skills

You're completing an engineering school or equivalent (Bac+4) specialised in electronic or mechanical engineering.

You ideally have initial experience. You have good competencies in pack Office Microsoft. A knowledge of financial models would be a plus.

You are a strong team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: advanced level,
French: fluent.
