Internship - Leveraging Machine Learning with Security Testing

Description of the job

Airbus (Saint-Martin) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship to work on leveraging system feedback within security testing through machine learning technics. This internship will start in January/February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Many tools and scripting languages are used in the frame of A/C information security testing (any A/C program).

These tests are performed:

·  On various test benches (aiming at covering functional domains of an A/C);
·  On a large set of target equipments;
·  On various types of physical network links (Ethernet, avionic specifics, fibre channel, ...).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Explore machine learning algorithms through scikit-learn, skflow and/or tensorflow libraries.
·  Study the ways to represent the SUT feedback for proper use with machine learning techniques
·  Identify the algoritms that could be used for detecting anomalies.
·  Study the ways to leverage automatically information extracted from SUT feedback within fuzz testing
·  Implement the worthwhile approaches into our in-house fuzzing framework "fuddly" (https://github.com/k0retux/fuddly).

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  You are in the last year of a Master's degree in Computer Science with a strong IT/Mathematical background and looking for a 6 months internship.
·  You are specialised or have experience in Artificial Intelligence and Information Security.
·  Experience with Data Modeling, Algorithms would be desirable.
·  Experience developing / programming in C or Python (preferred languages).
·  You are autonomous and proactive and have excellent interpersonal skills.
·  You have a negotiation level in French and advanced level in English.
