Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

You will join "TOLS - Lean Space Systems" in Toulouse.

In this position you will support the Lean central team in the deployment of Lean for the whole perimeter of Space Systems (large European exposure).

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

1- Communication and change management: "Lean team" branding

·  Performing survey towards our internal customers (voice of customer), assessing the results and proposing relevant actions. Helping to improve our service offer accordingly,
·  Contributing to communication and change management actions with the aim to take the full responsibility on some actions.

2- Lean deployment

·  Supporting the implementation of Space Systems' lean implementation plan, focusing on communication aspects to facilitate change in company mindset,
·  With support, assisting in a diagnosis with stakeholders for the deployment of improvement methodologies in order to define a most appropriate approach,
·  Assisting in managing the administration side of lean deployment (Visual management, lean modules, etc.).

3- Facilitation

·  With support and after initial training, assisting in organising and facilitating workshops (The aim is to become fully autonomous).

Required skills

You are in the 1st or 2nd year of a master's degree, or in the 4th or 5th year of an engineering / business school or university, specialising in aerospace engineering / manufacturing or export (Lean).

You ideally have initial experience in this field.
You are familiar with MS Office, with ideally a good knowledge of Excel functions.
You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: intermediate level.
